To register for classes, call our training office at:
- (408) 258-4463
- (Best Time To Call - Monday through
Friday, 9AM to 1PM)
Payment is due at first training class.
We accept checks or exact cash amount (we do
not have change on hand). Sorry, but we do not accept credit cards.
If you are attending one of our free seminars, do NOT bring
your dog to the seminar.
For your first session with your dog, please bring:
- A six-foot leather (preferred) or nylon leash
- Retractable (Flexis) and chain leashes are not permitted for safety
reasons.
- Have your dog wearing either a buckle or training collar
- Buckle collars should be worn tight enough that they will NOT
slip off over the dog's head.
- Chain-type training (called correction or choke) collars should be
your dog's neck measurement plus two inches (most breeds).
- Food treats or toys that your dog enjoys that can be kept handy in a small
fanny pack or pocket.
- Small pieces of Great Bait, hot dogs, cheese, etc.
- We won't know if you do this or not, but for your own and your dog's
safety, please transport your four-legged companion using either a crate or
a harness designed to attach to your vehicle's seat belt system.
- To avoid "accidents" in the store and training room, please
exercise your dog prior to coming to class. Since the excitement of
traveling in the car frequently produces to need to eliminate, allow 5 to 10
minutes before the start of class to walk your pet outside for a few
minutes. Don't forget to scoop!!
- Wear comfortable and weather
appropriate clothing (e.g. jeans and sneakers).
- All family members are encouraged to
participate. However, very young children and/or children with short
attention spans may find the discussions and demonstrations difficult.
For insurance and safety purposes, junior handlers must be twelve years of
age or older and must be accompanied by an adult parent/guardian.
- Patience
- Consistency
- Love
- LOTS of praises!!!!
